Scott Wood is an ITC certified Level III Thermographer, as well as having many special certifications such as; Building Science Thermography (CBST), Applications of Infrared Thermography in the Inspection and Diagnosis of Low Slope Commercial Roofing Systems. Mr. Wood has delivered training and expert consulting regarding; mold and microbe remediation, infrared thermography and building science. A consulting and training professional in the areas of building science since the early 2000s, Scott has been providing building forensics from single story to multi story high-rises, providing design reviews, contractor training and building commissioning in heat, air and moisture barriers for the building’s enclosure.

Mr. Wood is also the Senior Building Scientist at VaproShield, providing product QA/QC on all manufactured materials and investigation/testing of properties for new product development. He also provides technical support for the company’s representatives, client inquiries and assists in product literature.

Mr. Wood has provided training to thousands of students including, organizations such as; Infrared Training Center, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH), Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., Morrison Hirschfield, Kiewit Building Group Inc,, Thermal Moisture Imaging (TMI), United Infrared, ServPro, ServiceMaster, Belfor, National Property Inspectors, Chubb Group Insurance, ASHI, AUSPTA. Scott Wood is a founding member and treasurer of the International Association of Certified Thermographers (IACT), on the advisory board for essess, inc., active voting member for ASTM International C16 and C6 committees, member, National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) and local Seattle Building Enclosure Council (SeaBEC). With dozens of publications and many more presentations, Scott is one of the key professionals in Building Science Thermography.
